Rare & Dear Announces Computer
Sciences Scholarship
Eleele, Kauai, Hawaii, 7 September 1997
This school year, at Kauai Community College, students will
have the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship being offered
by Rare & Dear, Inc. The purpose of the scholarship is to annually
recognize one Kauai Community College student matriculating to
a 4 year college in Hawaii and planning to major in computer or
management information science.
To be eligible, students must have a good academic record, with
a minimum 2.8 grade point average, demonstrate financial need,
and be a full-time student. A selection committee, comprised
of members of the community, will be appointed by the Provost
of KCC to select the recipient.

Hawaii," says President and Principal Consultant, Ned Dana. "We
want Hawaii's bright students to have opportunities right here
in their home state," explains Dana.
Rare & Dear, Inc., a Hawaii-based, information management consulting
firm was founded in 1994 by Ned Dana, who has more than 20 years
of experience in the computer industry. The Corporate Headquarters,
with 14 employees, is located in Eleele, at the former McBryde
Sugar Offices.
Distribution of the application will begin in January 1998 with
