ELEELE, Kauai -Two Hawaii information technology professionals have earned prestigious certifications by Oracle Corp. Richard Sherman, of Rare & Dear, Inc., was named an Oracle certified professional, and Catherine Geraghty, also of Rare & Dear, was recognized as an Oracle certified professional database administrator (DBA). The certifications ensure that individuals in information technology have the technical knowledge and expertise to support Oracle database systems and products.

The Oracle Certified Professional Program was developed by Oracle, the world's leading supplier of software for information management, and the world's second largest independent software company, to recognize technical professionals who demonstrate the depth of knowledge and hands-on skills required to fully support Oracle core products according to a standard of excellence established by Oracle.
Catherine Geraghty, a senior consultant, works on-site and remotely with Rare & Dear's clients in Hawaii and California.
