ORACLE CERTIFIES FOUR AT RARE & DEAR Hawaii Professionals Earn Prestigious Certifications11 December 2000Kauai, Hawaii ELEELE, Kauai - Four Hawaii information technology professionals have earned prestigious certifications by Oracle Corp. Richard Sherman, managing director, technical services of Rare & Dear, Inc., was named an Oracle certified professional, while Ned Dana, chief technical officer, Catherine Geraghty, senior consultant and Tom Kagehiro, principal consultant, also of Rare & Dear, were recognized as Oracle certified professional database administrators (DBA). The certifications ensure that individuals in information technology have the technical knowledge and expertise to support Oracle database systems and products.
The Oracle Certified Professional Program was developed by Oracle, the world's leading supplier of software for information management, and the world's second largest independent software company, to recognize technical professionals who demonstrate the depth of knowledge and hands-on skills required to fully support Oracle core products according to a standard of excellence established by Oracle. The Oracle DBA certification is awarded to professionals in the information and database management field who successfully pass four separate tests. Each test challenges the candidate to apply specific knowledge gained through Oracle training, as well as experience developed through practical experience in the administration and application of Oracle technology systems.
